Yeah, "Culture of Life" is really a misnomer It means opposing research on
living cells and keeping brain dead people "alive" or whatever the
religious
community wants it to mean.. There is no help for quality of life of those
"living" it gets my dander up too. Just heard Bush on TV invoking it
again. To think he and his disciples will decide my fate! It's too much to
bear.

hey - Rick! You should see some of the things I've written in the past.
In fact, I got in trouble with my owners for my remarks. Anyway, no
offense taken. Each of us have to believe what is best for us. It just
so happens I BELIEVE.

First, apologies to Delores Buente (Dee). My response was in no way
directed at your beliefs or you personally. Yes, Jo Ann, once in a
while I'll let one slip. I do have strong feelings regarding the
way
organized religion is used by the powerful to support and justify
their plans, which often are anathema to the teachings of the
principle figures of the faith. Jesus, as an example, left us with
some excellent wisdom and words. But I fail to see how the
teachings
of Jesus have anything to do with anything our illustrious leader
(US)
says or does. I do try hard every day to love and tolerate those
who
do not agree with me. Lots of people don't, but it's all I hope
for;
to be given a fair hearing.

The subject line of this message alone is enough to get my dander
up,
if I allow myself to dwell on it. If you feel offended, I
apologize.
I have no feelings of animosity toward you, even in light of all
that
we may or may not agree on. If you look at my comment under the
heading of "institutional hypocrisy", it may explain the unfriendly
tone.

And all this, right after I had made an attempt at peacemaking.

I proudly embrace my shortcomings. They are my inspiration to keep
learning.

Best wishes,
Rick
