Scott, This is a quick response to your post and I haven't had time to collect my information on Stalevo and muscle pain and stiffness so, bear with me on my response. I too took Stalevo for several months and felt that my stiffness and muscle pain were becoming worse. In additions (in my case) I was feeling no benefits from this drug. I can't go into detail now since I don't have my notes beside me but there is a condition that can be a side effect of Stalevo that affects the muscles and causes them to become leaky...they literally leak out material through the cell wall. The term for this condition eludes me at the moment but it could be a very serious side effect of Stalevo...(the stiffness and muscle pain may be a symptom of this condition. To make a long story short, I quit taking Stalevo and although I'm still stiff and have pain I think it is less than when I was taking this drug. I believe there are blood tests that can be done to determine if this condition is present...instead of the blood test, I chose to quit taking it.
