Re: SLEEP/is impossible John

I do not know if it is the disease or meds and most likely a combination.
Sleep is a problem with most PD patients, most not enough and some too much.
My husband would sleep only 2-4 hours a night and NEVER able to nap. We
found a great deal of help with a Mayo sleep doctor who has an interest in
treating people with Parkinson's. This has been a wonderful help to us. He
tried various meds many of which caused terrible side effects but kept
working until finding one that helped Bill. If you have a movement disorder
specialist perhaps he can refer you to someone who has experience with this
most serious problem. Jackie
