PEORIA - The "Shake, Rattle & Roll" one-mile walk next weekend

'Shake, Rattle & Roll'  walk will be Saturday

PEORIA - The "Shake, Rattle & Roll" one-mile walk, Peoria's second annual 
fund-raiser for Parkinson's Disease, will be
at 12:45 p.m. Sunday along the Peoria Riverfront.

Early bird check-in begins at 11 a.m. at Le Vieux Carre, located at the corner 
of State and Water Streets. Packet pick-
up, pledge drop-off and late registration will be held at noon.

The entry fee is $20 for adults, $15 for seniors and $10 for children. Proceeds 
will help support The Parkinson
Alliance, a national not-for-profit corporation that funds research for a cure, 
and People Living With Parkinson's, a
local group that helps with day-to-day needs of individuals with the disease.

There will be speakers at 1 p.m. hosted by WEEK-TV's Gina Morss. Featured 
speakers include Carol Walton, executive
director of The Parkinson Alliance; Perry Cohen, founder of Parkinson's 
Pipeline Project; U.S. Congressman Lane Evans;
and State Representative David Leitch.

There also will be live acoustic, bluegrass and jazz performances by Ken 
Carlysle, Bob Applegate, "Big John" Miller,
Steve Degenford and David Parkinson. Live music will continue until 4 p.m.

Door prizes and raffle drawings will be held throughout the event. Raffle 
tickets are $10 each or three for $25. For
