Local efforts to treat and help find a cure for Parkinson's Disease are paying 
off for one area rehabilitation center.

IPMR received a $,3000 check Thursday from organizers of Shake, Rattle & Roll. 
The summertime event raised thousands of
dollars for the Parkinson's Alliance.

The Alliance is giving part of the money to IPMR so that the Peoria rehab 
center can buy a gate analysis machine.

More than a million people in the U-S have Parkinson's. There is no cure for 
the neurological disorder.
