Re: Eyeproblems

KF,
I seem to be more sensitive to bright light this year. With a cataract
operation this spring and another in a year it might be just the eyes. Driving
at night I experience a significant amount of flare, particularly from the
bright halogen headlights. I was DX.in with PD 1997 and have added medicines to
alleviate various symptoms.

As for "shut out the world". That would be very subjective. I come and go do
everything I want to. If the persons observing are put off by my symptoms, that
is their problem. I take the attitude that if we all hide than we will all be
forgotten. I want everyone to understand as much as they can about the
disease. My best opportunities to teach are people I meet and trade with every
day.

  Subject: Eyeproblems

Carline has developed a peculiar problem with her eyes. she had the
infection. I asked her if light is bothering her, she says it is not. On the
other hand she seems to be more sensitive and asks for sunglasses when we are
outside.

  1. Has anybody had trouble with pulling the eyes shut?
  2. Has anybody had problems with excessive light sensitivity, photophobia
  (due to the meds perhaps)?
  3. Do people with PD want to shut out the world?

  Comments appreciated.
