Re: Question to Mirapex users

 HI ANNE

WITH MY DOC 'S APPROVAL. I SPACE MY MEDS AT INTERVALS OF 3 HOURS . THAT
MEANS I TAKE THE FIRST AT 5:30AM, 8:30, 11:30, 2:30 AND SO ON TILL 11:30
AT NIGHT.

THAT GIVES ME SEVEN EVENLY SPACED DOSES. THAT STRATEGY MAKES MY CARB/.LEVA
WORK BETTER.

ANYWAY, IT TOOK A CLOSE CALL ON THE HIGHWAY BEFORE I DECIDED I NEEDED TO
KEEP DRIVING BUT NOT WHEN UNDER MIRAPEX'S CONTROL.

SO,HERE ARE MY DRIVING RULES:
1. MAKE ALL APPOINTMENTS IN THE MORNING'
2. IF YOU CAN'T GET A MORNING APPT. GET A DRIVER.
3. IF YOU HAVE TO GO OUT, DON'T TAKE ANY DRUG WITH A DROWSINESS WARNING
TILL YOU GET BACK
4. BE BACK BEFORE YOUR 11:30 AM DOSE
5. DON'T GO FARTHER THAN A 20 MILE RADIUS

THIS (FOR NOW) WORKS FOR ME. I AM ABLE TO GO TO THE STORE, MY CHIROPRACTOR
MY PHYSICAL THERAPIST, THE DRUGIST , DENTIST AND OTHERS ALONE. THIS
HELPS MY CAREGIVER HUSBAND TO KEEP WORKING.

ALL THIS IS NOT TO SUGGEST YOU FOLLOW MY REGIMEN. PLEASE DON'T . WE ARE
DEALING WITH SO MANY VARIABLES (DOCS, MEDS, STAGES OF THE DISEASE, ETC). I
ALWAYS ASK MY DOC FIRST IF I WANT TO ADJUST HOW I TAKE MY MEDS.

GOOD LUCK AND BE VERY CAREFUL IF YOU DRIVE.. THIS IS WORKING FOR ME AT THE
MOMENT, BUT I MAY HAVE TO STOP DRIVING TOMORROW IF IT CHANGES .

Subject: Question to Mirapex users

For those of you taking Mirapex, have you found it makes you drowsy to the
point where it affects your driving? If so, were you able to resolve the
problem?

I'm looking for ways to solve this for myself -- ideas for other medications

techniques... whatever has worked for you.

To cut down on my email load, please respond only if you have a direct
answer
to my question. I love hearing from everyone, but it's hard for me to go
through 100 email messages. Thanks for understanding.

Best regards,
Anne Pfeffer
