Re: PD and immunity from common cold
Hmmm.... (thinking) ...... ya know, People, I have had PD for 35 years and while I've had a coupla-three bad headcolds over the years, I don't recall ever having any of the flus - No Hong Kong Flu, no Sidney Flu, no nothing resembling a flu during the time Parkinson's has co-existed within my body as an unwelcome "resident." For which I can say, I'd rather have the flu than PD anytime! But tell me - am I the only Parkie who HASN'T ever taken Amantadine> And if so am I to then presume the fact I haven't had the flu in a great many years is just dumb luck? GAWD! I sure hope not... One thought on the "Flu-less Parkies." Many, if not most of us just don't seem to get out in public as much as the general populous, and therefore aren't exposed to to the whatever flu/bug(s) is being passed around on any given year our seemingly "getting-smaller-every-dayl" world.
