Drew,
You have a right to believe however you choose.  You can believe whatever
you want to about what God does or does not think.  Personally I haven't had
the pleasure of God relating his "Grand Plan" to me.   Please tell me where
your God was when you were stricken with an incurable, insidious disease?
Why would He not wish for you to be cured by means He has clearly given to
man to pursue?  Stem cells do not harm any living thing.  If you care to
distort the facts then you will just have to suffer the consequences.  Where
do you draw the line.  Maybe transplant surgery should be halted as well.
Maybe all medicine should be banned for fear of man playing god and
interfering with an individual's life cycle.  Where does it all begin and
end?
