Anyone taking new drug zaleplon/Sonata (tm) for insomnia?
Someone mentioned to me that there's a new drug for insomnia, zaleplon (trade name Sonata). It should work well for people who have trouble staying asleep, and without causing grogginess the next day, because it is supposed to be effective for about 4 hours, meaning you only need to take it if you wake up in the middle of the night. There are apparently no contraindications for PD or anti- Parkinson's medications. Does anyone taking it have anything good or bad to report? With a name like Sonata, I wonder what it will do for snoring? Phil Tompkins Hoboken NJ age 62/dx 1990
