Re: Deep Brain Stimulation
Perry; I would like to see Deep Brain Stimulation approved ASAP. I'm not positive, but believe the procedure is very helpful and will be less expensive when approved. I'm looking at DBS surgery as one of my options since my medications are no longer as effective as they were. ----- Original Message ----- From: Perry Cohen <PerryC202@xxxxxxx> To: <PARKINSN@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Tuesday, March 28, 2000 3:17 PM Subject: Deep Brain Stimulation > I have been asked to serve as a non-voting patient representative for the FDA > Neurological Devices Panel which is meeting Friday March 31 to consider > extenting the use of deep brain stimulation for Parkinson's Disease.
