        :-)

Perhaps. Maybe even: quite possibly. But never: a certainty!

        :-)

        I hope this doesn't make me a bad person. :-) I'm already a
geek, an introvert, and paranoid (ask the list elf, janet :-) ).

I always wondered what it would be like to try to transfer my
teaching skills to a public school system -- or even a college.
Somehow, some part of me thinks I wouldn't be quite as success-
ful. :-/ *I* admire those who teach in those areas myself.

It seems we have similar phobia-like feelings about these
gatherings as well as the friends and family who don't under-
stand. To those who would try to get to know me outside the
classroom it seems unusual that I don't want to go out for a
"night on the town" after class -- especially as many different
cities as I get to visit.

What the students don't understand is that the stress of turn-
ing my I into something of an E compounded by trying to hide my
PD symptoms and the arthritic and muscle pain from an old auto
accident make me want to go back to the hotel room and "crash"
for more than just a little while.

You got me there. I'm certain that I'm not gregarious. I'm
     just a little ol' introvert-nerd-paranoid-geek-training-weirdo.
Hmmmm, I wonder if I degraded myself enough to negate my self
     praise?
