Re: Help
Dear Juanita I appreciate your concern, but I get all my prescriptions through one doctor, so I don't end up taking something which conflicts with something else. That same doctor is also the one who prescribed both the ultram and the vicodin. In my case, I do not get any pain relief from the ultram, but it does have some side effects which is why my doctor prescribes it - and I can't remember what it was, just that it wasn't pain management and I dont think it was as an anti-inflammatory. I have been on anti-inflammitories so long that my stomach can no longer tolerate most of them. Until celebrex came on the market, there weren't any which I could take without causing bleeding. I do not know if I still need it or not, but considering how much better I am doing now than in the past, I really don't want to change things until I have to. Also, I have been to 2 pain management clinics as well as an arthritis specialist to see if I could find something other than the narcotic to help me control the pain. Both pain clinics, after looking at my history and the broken bones, the x=rays showing bone spur development and arthritis growth, ended up concluding that what I am on is probably the best that can be done for now. I do appreciate your concern and you do raise a valid point, but like I say, I hate to mess with success, and this has been working to semi-control the pain for over 3 yrs.
