Non-PD: wysiwyg three
Hi Barb, I've been lurking. WYSIWYG is an HTML (hypertext mark up language) writer's anacronym for "what you see is what you get". People who use HTML to write the code that builds hypertext documents (like webpages) use this to make the screen look visually readable. If you surf to any webpage and go up to the top toolbar on your screen you can click on View (a drop down menu), then click on Page Source and see what the html coding behind that webpage looks like. There is also software that writes html for you (like Dreamweaver) its user friendly, so that as soon as you use it, what you see on the screen will be what you get on your webpage (WYSIWYG) When if you write the html code yourself first and then surf to your website to see what you created / what it looks like : this in not WYSIWYG software) Probably more info. than you needed. (I'm going back into lurk mode again.) Joan U.
