apomorphine

Recently, someone requested info re apomorphine. I found two
articles [see below] and the following statement:

?Apomorphine is available in Europe and is being tested in
the United States. It is a very potent dopamine agonist that
can be given by injection or sublingually and offers
potential for rapid relief of Parkinson's symptoms. It can
be viewed as a rescue therapy for patients with severe motor
fluctuations. Patients who are away from home and are having
severe immobility and motor fluctuations can take this drug
and get moving so they can get back home.? [from STACY
Mark -- Parkinson's disease: Therapeutic choices and timing
decisions in patient management. Interview with Dr Stacy, in
Geriatrics 1999; 54(0ct.): 44-49]
