anyone interested in ww 2 museums should view the
general patton museum east of palm springs ca.
this is where the troops were trained to fight rommel
in africa. it is fullof the history of the days in the desert
jacks sister was a waac during ww2 and stationed in eto
and was in communications supposedly the one to send
operation overlord. don't know whether this can be verified.
later she was in france. we decided to donate most of
her memorabilia so that all our kids and grandkids would
be able to see family history without having to preserve
it themselves. we have gone a number of times and they
keep adding to collection. thought there may be some
on list who were relatives of soldiers involved under
gen. patton that would like to see items there.
