Rigidity

I don't remember us giving great debate to the symptoms of rigidity.
Although I have tremor, I also have rigidity. I thought I read that
those with mostly tremor progress slower than those with mostly
rigidity. Is this true? If so, why?
How does one work around rigidity? I know that massage has
great use, but I think one can only have so many massages in a
day and some of my muscles still are so tight that I cannot move
them, or they move too far for what I am trying to do.
