I, like Greg have come from the "less government is better" ideology in my
past.  I too have (begun to) see(n) the plight of those who must endure the
hardships of disability.  It has really made me stop and think.  (if a
insomniac at 4 am can think)

I'm sorry though, I just cant see myself believing ANYTHING Gore has to say.
I used to be fond of Lieberman, because of his consistency to his values.
Lieberman changed all his "core values" for "Gore values", to be VP.

I'll grant you Greg, that Conservatives will have a hard time regarding
anything to do with abortions.  But a good many are open to the issue of
fetal stem cell research.  Bush Jr. may change his position on that issue
(slightly) over time.  His Dad did (remember: "read my lips, NO new taxes")

Politicians make me loose my lunch.  They pass new laws just to make
themselves look good (but attach pork to the bills, and never bring that
up).  Only the government would pay $50 bucks for a toilet seat.

We can debate what is the better candidate, and should (yuk).  BUT,  I just
don't think the government could take care of a pimple.  IF the government
had ALL the money in the world, I think the world would be 10 times worse
off. (but what do I know, I have been up for 24 hrs)

I could not work for the state after 4 years of total lunacy.  The Non
profits I worked for after that did 10 X the good for 10 % of the cost of
big brother.  They NEVER charged the public for their services either.

People who are in need of starting on "disability benefits" (oxymoron)
should not have to wait for 2 years before receiving benefits.  They should
have their prescriptions paid for, ESPECIALLY if they are on Medicaid.  Gore
has had 8 years to improve this, and it is no better now than it was under
Reagan.

Then again maybe I'm all wet.  Gore may be the answer to ALL we need in the
US.  Perhaps I have been too hard on him, just because of the nausea I get
from politics.  Gore is obviously a strait forward, honest and intelligent
man.

After all he invented the internet!
