Questions requested for NYS Senate debate
Dear list members - especially New Yorkers, A nationally televised debate between NY Senate candidates Hillary Clinton and Rick Lazio has been scheduled for Sept. 13th in Buffalo. According to the Buffalo News questions can be emailed to the panelists at this address: senatedebate@xxxxxxxxxxxxx This is a great opportunity to get some answers about their stands on PD and health care issues, such as, overall NIH funding and funding specifically for PD research, prescription drug coverage, health insurance for the uninsured, increased funding for community based living arrangements for the disabled, and yes, of course federal funding of stem cell research. If enough questions on these health related topics are submitted, surely at least some of them will be addressed during the debate. The article also noted that the debate will be moderated by Tim Russert and broadcast on all NBC affiliates in New York State. It will also be seen across the country on MSNBC. Linda
