David,
I can't advise you on product names as they are probably different in the
US, but I can advise you there are at least three basic forms of eye drop.
First is cosmetic, don't know what they puut in that formula. Second there
are the types used for reducing inflammation, conjunctivitis and allergies.
These usually contain some sort of anti-histamine and a drying agent. If
your problem is dry eyes, they will make it worse. Third, there are
preparations for 'sore' eyes based usually on glycerine. These will help to
keep your eyes moist. So, if you can read the label, try and pick the one
which suits. Ask your pharmacist, he will be able to tell you which is
which.
