Marjorie and Margie,

You are way too kind to this senator. I realize that Kansas is not only
dry, but it has some of the most conservative laws on the books too. I
believe you right to in being entirely suspicious of his intent in
gutting the bill, or putting so many riders on it that the intent is
lost, or never come to a full vote in the congress, or maybe vetoed.  I
would much rather be open to others beliefs than attempt to force what I
believe is the best way to live on another. Why is it that some have
such precise ideas about life when most likely they have not lived very
long and have never had to walk in anyone elses shoes? Why is it that
these same people have solutions for every one of lifes problems without
facing too many of their own?  If they ever did, it would come as a
shock that there is no one simple solution to every problem and there
are many shoes to walk in besides their own. But, arent they lucky to
have answers that fit all situations and especially theirs. Legislation
to fit all, how nice if it worked for all.
