Dear Cari, My wife was on Sinemet, Permax, and Amantidine for about 11 years. After 3 weeks in a hospital, she is now completing her third week of rehab. She is now on about 1/3 her Sinemet regimen, NO Amantidine and Permax is down to almost nothing. Note that these three drugs may cause hallucinations, psychosis, and paranoia, and Barbara has got them all. With Sinemet, it has become a balancing act to minimize it to permit the patient to function but to cause minimal psychic problems which now has to be treated. I thought you ought to know ! Michel
