PESTICIDES-Marjorie/ Bill

Hi Bill,
I'm afraid more than one thing happened to my computers,
I run two Compaq computers (a 4460 & a 5838 ) together from
one keyboard and one monitor. Well, besides wiping out everything
on the 5838 , which is probably the HD Controller, it also wiped out
both zip drives, Oh Joy, just what I needed. They are all under warranty
however, its just a pain to have to take them to CompUSA, but I do have
to say I get excellent service there.

The reason I think Tex got so upset, (Hi Tex) is because it is a well
known fact that there are MDS who claim that its pesticides which
causes PD and they won't even listen to anything else. Their minds are made
up.
There is a PD specialist at the Un. of Miami who feels that way.
I have always felt that if it were just one thing ,that surely since 1814 or
whenever Dr. Parkinson named the "Shaking Palsy" , then surely to heavens
someone would have been able to trace a cause. IMOHO, I have always felt
that until a CAUSE can be found, I really don't see how a CURE can be found,
but I'm hoping I'm wrong, and they find a cure without the cause.

Do you have Copernic on your computer? I think it was Bob Chapman who
gave us the URL for it. Its free, and its wonderful, and it was installed
on my
fried computer, so maybe someone could give you the URL. Its a great
search engine which check about 10 different sources at once, and the thing
I liked the best about it is it has the latest information.

Are you on any medications yet?

just me,
Marjorie

Marjorie... You are a GEM!

Thank you for making this point. I will amend MY responses accordingly. I'm
a Dx PWP of only two years but, I admit it, perhaps my dander also went up
faster than it should have. (Typing with one hand is frustrating enough...
:-).

I'm sorry to hear about your lightening strike. I hope no critical circuits
got fried.

Thanks again! :-)

Bill

Subject: Re: PD?FARMING/PESTICIDES A HOT REPLY

Bill,
This is a problem all Parkies face, we speak and read in Parkinese,
sometimes we get upset because we read something before our medications
have taken effect, and sometimes we read what we want to read, just as
persons without PD do.
The longer we have PD, the more these things show up.
All PWP who have had it for sometime understand and make
allowance for this.
Which is why this is a support group.
I'm going to need support too, my newest computer got hit
by lightning while I was out of the room.
Talk about waking a person up!!!!
So its back to the old one, slow modem, but it works!!!!

just me, Marjorie
