TODAY

I saw him see me , for a moment,

he knew I was there,

he almost smiled.

Eric. the man, the artist, the adventuring sailor, the teacher

drifts further away each day as his body twitches and shakes.

pd has taken his voice, his strength, his art, but not his soul.

I saw it

today

briefly,

through the drugs and the disease he struggled to communicate.

"I know Eric, I know"

"you rest now, ok!"

a prayer for Eric and his family

a prayer for a cure

a prayer for strength ,patience and courage

today
