Dear Linda & Hilary & Camilla & all:
   What a much needed and necessary thread you bring up! I, like Linda,
thank my lucky stars each day for my husband but who knows...nothing in
the future is a given...and (God forbid) he's been shot once...i shudder

to think what the future could hold so I try not to speculate. But this
does not mean that we should  bury our heads in the sand as
if say "couldn't happen to me" or for us not to recognize the fate which

has already overtaken many of our comrades who are struggling to make
it alone.
   If I am correct in my thinking-the Parkinson's Alliance is doing a
fantastic job of getting the research done and they have their hands
full with that...what I'm saying is I don't think that this is in their
realm of operations. I know, after seeing them in action-just what they
are about!!! It is a thing of beauty.
   The PLWP organization (People Living With Parkinson's) is concerned
with this aspect of PD.
This group has been around for less than a year and already are helping
to bring some of this much-needed-practical-need-it-now kind of help to
people. I know about this because I am on their board of directors and
