Re: DBS-STN surgery
Bill - I had the DBS-STN surgery on June 13 and I have been very happy with the results. It really wasn't that bad except for the shaving of my head but now my hair is grown in and I notice that it has helped me cut down my medication and also made my "off" times easier. Before the surgery when I went "off" I pretty much had to sit around and wait to turn "on" again. Now I can still function but just at a slower pace. It's also helpful when I'm driving because it's not so scary if I turn "off" while behind the wheel! Good luck to you and one thing I should mention is that before they turn it on after a week or so you might feel worse than ever but hang in there. Once they get it turned on and at the right voltage it's great. Debby
