When you are the oldest living relative in your family, as I am, you learn very quickly that diplomacy takes a lot less energy than trying to sooth hurt feelings later on. Sometimes harsh words can cut worse than a sword and leave a much larger scar. I try to remember that, but being human instead of a rhesus monkey, I do sometimes forget. BTW, my birthday was Halloween and I am very proud to have lived 68 years since I have come so close, several times, in the last 4.5 years of not making it!
