Re: I need help finding an answer
Hi Jeannie,
Why don't you call his Doctor and see if he can start the Sinemet CR sooner.
However, with me, I only freeze up from lack of Dopamine not too much. When he gets to start taking the Sinemet CR at bedtime it should hopefully stop that problem.
I'm not in the medical field, and I keep hoping one of the Doctors will answer you.
just me, Marjorie 68/58/55
My husband is the PWP and his doctor is adjusting his medicine every to weeks for six weeks so that he can put him on a continued release sinemet. He is upping his Mirapex and lowering his Sinemet so that he can add CR sinemet at bedtime. Gordie runs out of medicine by nighttime so he has a lot of difficulty in bed. Since he goes to bed early and I am a night owl, we use a baby monitor for him to call me. He has difficulty getting up to use the bathroom, turning over, etc -- so he is often at my mercy in bed. I do not mind but sometimes I have to not be home because I am in the hospital with my heart problem. Then he has to lay their until he can get himself moving. With the medicine adjustment, we have noticed a lot of freezing. I cannot remember if the freezing shows too much or not enough medicine. I was going to the archives and couldn't remember how to do that either. Can someone help me? If you think it is redundant to discuss this on the list, please email me personally. Thank you.
