Sue, I don't know how to fix your symptoms but I use IntExp 5.50 with Windows-ME and have no problems fitting your description.

I do keep the MSN Critical and Recommended maintenance current.

Is anyone else having trouble with INTERNET EXPLORER? I get the two messages
in the lower left corner "web site found" and "connecting to site" both
flashing spastically
back and forth. It won't connect. Has anyone ever experienced this? Can
anyone help?
