Re: NEWS: Canadian scientists pushing for federal guidelines on stem cell research

Latest news today:-

"CLONING BILL FACES TOUGH TEST IN LORDS
"Government plans to allow the cloning of human embryos for research face a
tough test in the House of Lords.

"Scientists claim so-called stem-cell research could help treat diseases
such as Alzheimer's and Parkinson's.

"But many peers say the issue is being rushed without considering the
ethical issues - they could vote for research to be shelved pending a Lords
inquiry.

"Religious leaders have also called for more time to weigh up moral
concerns."
