What about updates - do they occur > automatically? Buy Norton Antivirus. Better still, get Norton "SystemWorks 2001". It has several additional programs which help maintain your computer. There are, I believe, instructions on the Norton Website as to how to get rid of the Kakworm. The new versions of Norton Antivirus will update your system automatically (or remind you to do it if you prefer). It does slow things down a little, but it a worthwhile trade-off. The other thing to consider is to stop using Outlook Express (or Outlook). Get Pegasus Mail (free on the Web) or buy Eudora Pro. Both of these have more "resistance" to worms and viruses, although a good anti-virus program is the only real way to protect oneself. BTW, Bruce, the Kakworm was *not* attached to your last message (the one I am responding to). That may be because my Pegasus Mail refused to accept it; or that you have successfully cleaned your system. Best, Bob Robert A. Fink, M.
