Hi! I have just joined this listserve and am interested in hearing about people's early responses to medications. I was diagnosed with Early Onset Parkinson's 4 years ago, but have avoided starting to take drugs since that time because I am more afraid of the drugs than I am of my current symptomotolgy. I have tremor of the left side, with some stiffness in both my left leg and left hand - but am still able to perform all activities of daily living with minor difficulties (pierced earrings are tough!). Can anyone tell me how they did when first starting out? Side effects? Suggestions? My neurologist had wanted to start me on Mirapex when first diagnosed, but has since said that - had I started then, he would have attributed my minimal progression of symptomotology to the medication. Any reassurances would be appreciated. Christine
