Re: question: pd and diarrhea
Michael: Metamucil is a fiber laxative. Why did the doctor prescribe it? It is usually prescribed for constipation which is a common PD problem. Bob B.

My dad has been sufferring from diarrhea for several months. His doctor took him off some heart meds, and the diarrhea improved, but not much. Then another doctor prescribed Metamucil, which has helped, but not much. Has anyone out there had similar problems? Any ideas/suggestions?
Dad takes Mirapex for the PD, but has been using Mirapex for much longer than he has been having diarrhea.
Thanks,
