Co-Q10 (short of Coenzyme Q10) is a natural occurring enzyme in the body.
Lots of talk - but nothing concrete yet.
There is or was a study thru NPF, for Co-Q10 treating PD, but I understand
it's not finished yet.
There is also some thoughts at   UCSF (and maybe other places) that it might
be good for heart problems.
Since I have both those problems, I went on Co-Q10.
I never saw a difference with or without. Although my test was not
"controlled."
It does get expensive.. I guess I'll wait for the reports and their results.
