Re: Insomnia

Yes Marla and it can help PD symptoms at times. It worked for me I was
having trouble with dystonia and it was stopped cold., My Doctor suggested
it and it makes sense to me since I used to people who had dystonia caused
by neuroleptic drugs. If you tolerate it then take it unless your doctor
says no and it sounds as though they do.

Benadryl works great. Generic diphenhydramine HCl is just as effective as
the tradename product. I take 25-50 mg, depending on how much sleep I need
to get. I have checked and rechecked the question of extended use of
diphenhydramine HCl with neurologists and internists. have also checked the
physician's drug interaction model/program at the med school. there are no
contraindications. I have been using it for 2 years now, as many as 4-5
nights per week. before that I used Xanax, which is habit forming and
didn't work as well. I'm told that some people experience morning
sluggishness from Benadryl. I do not. I highly recommend it to others.
