I scan all my E-mails before I open anything, then it's family and friends first, delete whatever looks like somebody trying to sell me something and then I go back to the beginning and go thro ughwhat'sleft. If I see a topic and then lots of Re:Such & such, I read the original so see if I want to go on with the rest. If it's a topic I don't find interesting or relevant, I can delete the rest. I know there have to be some guidelines for list content, but I think we all agree, these are unusual circumstances and some folks just need an outlet for their concerns and anger---at the situation, NOT each other. People who go out into the world each day to work or shop or whatever have others to discuss things with. Those who don't have daily contact with many people need someone to "talk" to and from what I know of this list, it's made up of friends who just don't happen to have physically met each other. Well, that's my two cents worth on the subject, for what it's worth.
