It is a semantic argument.  It is the complications of advanced
Parkinson's disease (reduced activity, swallowing difficulties, being
bedridden, etc.) which result in the terminal events (often a
pneumonia).  This happens with diseases other than PD as well.

This is why keeping active is so important with PD.
