The following is from Dr. Lieberman's "Ask Dr. Lieberman" e-mail forum. Best, Kathrynne ================================================ please read the following the study described above will be reported shortly it will say that doses of q10 up to 1200 mg a day (a cost of about $400 a month) may slow the progression of pd until i actually see the study i am reluctant to recommend this dose of q10 how q10 may help in pd is at present not known in each cell of the body there are fuel cells, energy sources, called mitochondria a defect in these mitochondria may be important in pd the defect involves a substance which is replenished by q10 ================================================= -- Kathrynne Holden, MS, RD "Ask the Parkinson Dietitian" Author: "Eat well, stay well with Parkinson's disease" "Guidelines for Medical Nutrition Therapy for Parkinson's disease" ---------------------------------------------------------------------- To sign-off Parkinsn send a message to: mailto:listserv@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx In the body of the message put: signoff parkinsn
