Cloning and Development

Hello All,
Okay everybody help me now. I am doing a paper on Cloning and Social 
Development. Can someone give me feedbacks on what areas to tackle.

Most of us do know why stem cell research is good for us. But there are some 
issues I need to know.

Firstly, I need to know serious arguments against it. Most of what I find on 
the net and elsewhere, are ethical and moral biases against the Genome 
project.But those who oppose it must have some serious developmental angle to 
their arguments where they say, this project is not good because it leads to 
degression in our development or something like that.
I believe there can't be any serious arguments if you choose to limit yourself 
by saying God doesn't approve of such technologies.

So that basically is the problem. I need to know the pros and cons of Stem Cell 
research from the point of view of society and development and not just 
morality.
The reason why I have decided to include the developmental angle to this issue 
is because I find all other arguments against Stem Cells or cloning to be very 
artificial. People stress that such technologies are unethical and unnatural. 
But this is hardly exclusive to Stem Cells. Lyposuction etc are hardly natural 
and we all live in the real world to know how unethical or immoral we can get 
when we want. 

So whats the real fear in terms of development? Again I want to look beyond 
what some people argue about creating  agenetically modified generation of 
humans etc. But that's too far off. What is our fear now, today in terms of 
this research.

Secondly, I need to know whether PWP are unanimous in their support of the Stem 
Cell Research? Or are there several people who don't approve of this research 
and are suffering from PD. 

Anyone any ideas on where I should go to locate the info?
