Parkinsn's Email List Message
Posting to the Parkinsn List is a benefit of Subscription
what's a meta for?
hi all debate about what's acceptable (or desirable or offensive or censor-fodder) material to post on e-mailing lists has taken place since they first appeared subscribing to a mailing list could be likened to subscribing to a satellite television service; in an instant voices from all over the globe can be heard in your home; as a subscriber, it is your choice to listen or not as a subscriber, it is your choice to subscribe or not posting messages to a mailing list could be likened to being handed a microphone with global wide volume; in an instant your voice can be heard in anyone's home anywhere on the globe; if they subscribe if they listen in this situation the subscriber/listener has all the power the subscriber/poster has none but the message in his/her words which may or may not draw listeners which is why i look on all postings other than attempts at censorship as generous sharing and dare i say caring as our esteemed list-owner has said many times we should not try to silence anyone's voice that is the whole reason we are here to hear janet a new voice janet paterson: an akinetic rigid subtype, albeit perky, parky pd: 55/41/37 cd: 55/44/43 tel: 613 256 8340 email: janet313@xxxxxxxxxxx smail: 375 Country Street, Almonte, Ontario, Canada, K0A 1A0 a new voice: ---------------------------------------------------------------------- To sign-off Parkinsn send a message to: mailto:listserv@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx In the body of the message put: signoff parkinsn
