Balance problems
Hello frieinds: My name is Diana and I've only been on this list about a month. I'm 48 and was diagnosed about 3 l/2 years ago. My most severe problem at present is my balance. My neurologist recently had me add a blue Sinemet to my two Sincemet CRs that I take daily along with 3 one milligram tablets of Mirapex. I have never had any tremor which leads my neuro to think I have an atypical form of PD. I am so weary of falling and crashing into things in my home! So far when I'm out in public, I've been able to manage with the use of a walking stick. However, last night, having come in from a neighborhood party, I find myself starting to run in the house, almost out of necessity (which only other Parkies I imagine can understand) and then when I tried to stop myself, I crashed into a desk and my face hit a framed picture on the wall, leaving me with a nice, swollen, bloody lip. Sigh...so you see why I am tired of this. I'm still getting out and exercising and god knows, I try to stay positive...but am wondering if anyone out there is experiencing the same kind of problems. Thanks, Diana ---------------------------------------------------------------------- To sign-off Parkinsn send a message to: mailto:listserv@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx In the body of the message put: signoff parkinsn
