With all due respect, yes, this "brain syndrome" is called Parkinson's
Disease.  I don't mean to sound sarcastic, but a positive response to
Sinemet is how many neurologist's conclude that a person has PD.  Also,
PD is a result of dopamine-producing brain cells dying in the Substantia
Nigra--that's what PD is.  IMHO, it's not clear to me, from what I've
read about Larry's brother's symptoms, that he has shown Parkinson's
Plus, except perhaps that he has progressed so fast and so severely.

I do agree, though, that he should be evaluated by another neurologist
that specializes in, and is up to date on PD and it's therapies.

Just my two cents worth.
