switching from Mirapec to Requip

Well my dad is no better on the Mirapex -he is now dizzy almost
constantly.
So we went from a miracle drug to almost back to where we were before
on the Sinemet. (Although that was a nightmare !)

It seemed he was doing good somewhere in the middle - but the Neuro
insists he HAS to be on the higher dose - or there is no point being on
it at all.

So he will be switching the next neuro visit I am sure.

Now I know a number of you have switched - do you ramp down on one while
increasing the other ? Does he have to go down to NO drug before
starting ReQuip ? (That could be a night mare too !)

What is the general reaction to ReQuip ? My general impression is that it
is no better than Mirapex ... should we switch - or stick with the MIrapex
and play more with the dosage ?

He' scurretnly at 0.5mg/3X a day (breakfast lunch and dinner - which as I've
mentioned in the passed I'm worried might be too close together).
Dad is getting fed up with being sick all the time.

Please - any advice /experiences welcolm.

We just want dad back again !

Thanks
donna
(daughter of PD dad 74/1yr)
