There seem to be some aspects of mental functioning which deteriorate
due to PD.  I ventured into Medline to see what was there about PD
and "cogitive deficits", but what I found needs someone trained
in the lingo of psychological testing to explain.  Has anyone run
across a writeup for he layperson?

BTW, there is a word for not being able to recall words, but I don't
remember it.
