John, I don't know if this is feasible, but can you borrow an external hard
drive, or zip drive, that works with a parallel port, substitute it for your
present hd, and load Win 3.1 and a utility  program? OR maybe if you unplug
any accessories, like the printer or anything that might free the memory? I am
