Re: Tasmar - starting gradually

I started Tasmar at 100mg three times a day about three weeks ago. I was
taking 7 mg Requip (reduced to 5), and 50/200 Sinemet CR - both also three
times a day. Also Eldepryl morning and noon. Effect on motor symptoms was
immediate and fantastic. Extended on time from 5 to 7 hours plus. BUT,
after about a week I noticed I couldn't make decisions, had sleepless nights
with high anxiety (both extremely unusual for me) , nightmares when I did
sleep and my wife described me as frantic.

Cut back on Eldrepryl to one in AM and Tasmar to 50 mg (I cut tabs in half)
and I am doing much better

A week ago my neuro started me with 100 mg one time a day, to be
increased each week by another 100 until I reach 600 mg per day. I'm
to decrease my Sinemet according to my experience of how much less I
need - right now that's about 25/100 four times a day. We don't
know right now how much of that I'll need later. I'm to continue my
regular doses of Permax and Eldepryl.
