Re: Reply: April 11??

Marling 'n Joan...

You're both such strong PD-fighters that I wouldn't be surprised if you might
not have got those additional symptoms YEARS ago INSTEAD of just recently.

Come on, you two... dry them eyes, take a deeeeeep breath.... and engage your
respective brains to assess your current drug intake and life-situation and
HEY.... you MAY be surprised that THAT will start getting ya back on track
again.

It's unlike either of ya to just give up, but the feeling of being helpless in
the face of the disease's progression is often as hypnotic as a siren's song.

Treat that steeeeeeenkin' PD like the enemy it is, and FIGHT! Be wily...
sneaky.... If one thing doesn't work, try something else. And remember.....
if THAT doesn't work... there's ALWAYS Sara Lee! <giggle> (laughter courtesy
of YOU, Ms. Marling)

NEVER GIVE UP!!! (courtesy of our own dear Sonia) <smile>

Love to both of ya...

I spoke with an associate of my neuro and he confirmed that it is most likely
that my symptoms have chosen today to tell me they are spreading. Happy April
11. I know I will not easily forget today.

My symptoms chose April 1 to tell me the same thing. I have gone for nine
years with only a left side tremor. I woke up on April Fool's Day with both
sides shaking. Kinda scarey, but I know this is nothing new to many of you out
there. I broke down and started Sinemet Cr this week. I broke down and cried
at the same time. I feel like I am giving in--both to PD and to Sinemet. My
heart goes out to you, Marling. I won't forget April 1--and I won't forget
April 11 either. Somehow, I feel a kind of kinship. Hang in there!
Sincerely, Joan Dykstra
