I Will Not Follow The Band!

When I was small I jumped at all who said they had a cure,
and many times I found they ment "we're close, next year for sure".
When next year came and that year went and no cure could I see,
I began to know that the cure was for others, not for me.
Now again I hear the siren song "Look a cure is at hand",
You'll forgive me friend if i smile and then, don't jump up and follow
the band.
