Re: electric shock
It is not outlawed at least not in this state, for which I am very glad. Some 9 years ago, it saved my life. It is not done now in the way in which we remember from movies. For those of us who have very severe depression, & medication does not help, it is sometimes used to give you a jump start <grin> so that the medications can then work. I can personally testify that with medication, I live a very average live. I don't advertise my having had ECT, just because of the ideas that live in the minds of others. Believe me, we are not living in the dark ages...unknown treatment should not be shunned because we are not familiar with it.
