   Hi Jack!

    Hatred and violence against men and women who happen to be gay is
everywhere.  So is love and caring.  I don't think Laramie is the center
of homo-hating.

  Today I will mourn Matthew's murder, and two gay-bashings in Portland,
Maine (one woman slashed with a razor blade on Wed, one man called faggot
on Thursday, then beaten),

   I will be wearing my brand-new "Fight Parkinson's Disease. Find the
Cure" T-shirt at the rally in South Portland.  Tomorrow I will wear the
T-shirt at the Unitarian-Universalist church service in memory of Matthew
Shepard.
